Maria serves as a Senior Investment Analyst at Kensington Investment Company, where she is responsible for forecasting the performance of all non-real estate portfolio investments, conducting discounted cash flow (DCF) valuations on direct investments, and sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to support KIC’s long-term value creation.
Before joining KIC, Maria worked in the metals and mining industry, managing copper and zinc hedging portfolios and partnering with senior leadership on operational improvement initiatives. At Newmont Corporation, she restructured an underperforming process by implementing business improvement models. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Private Equity Analyst at Bloomberg L.P. in New York City, gaining experience in investment valuation and due diligence.
Originally from Lima, Peru, Maria earned her BBA in Finance and International Business from Andrews University in Michigan and recently completed her MBA magna cum laude at Cornell University, focusing on Business Valuation and Data Analytics.
